Subject to weather conditions I would like to lead a sea and river trip exploring one of the smaller and pretty estuaries. If the weather conditions permit we can launch at Challaborough and the make our way along the coast before heading up the river Erme on the rising tide for an early lunch. If we have time on the return we can also explore Burgh Island. This trip is open to all who are experienced on the sea or have paddled on the sea this year but will be weather and swell dependant. If the conditions make launching difficult I will modify the trip with the aim of exploring the South Hams. (Please look out for updates)
To make the best use of the tide and to ensure we can park please aim to be at Challaborough beach car park for 9.00am. If you need to pick up a club boat I would advise you to try to collect the boat on Saturday evening if possible. By all means say what you need in the chat below and we can all try to coordinate. If we need to load boats on Sunday morning we will need to meet at the club at 7.30.
Normal protocols apply in terms of gear and lunch etc. With experienced paddlers having signed up there is no limit on numbers.

Yes, please Owen.
Owen, I am going to have to cry off this trip, have a great day.
You missed me off the list Owen or am I John C?
I would like to join you :-)
Sorry Pete. Brain fog. List updated.
Yes please
Looks like the car park is Quite small. What is plan B if it is full?
Thanks for the info Kwinten
I'd like to come on this trip please and would need help transporting a club boat. Happy to load either on Saturday night or Sunday morning. If there's car sharing, I'm double jabbed and and well-stocked with lateral flow tests. Thanks.
All, wind speed 6 knots generally from the North and 1ft of swell so perfect for this trip. I look forward to seeing you there. If any improvers want to join us it will be a good and safe sea trip for less experienced club members. We have plenty of experienced paddlers to provide guidance and safety cover. My only criteria is that you must have paddled on the sea previously and have previously practiced at sea rescues. If you are not sure please feel free to ask.
Looking forward to this trip on Sunday.
I am double jabbed and willing to car share with others who are also double jabbed, I will be picking up my kayak from Maclains late morning Saturday and can pick up others if asked. On Sunday I will be going direct from Dunsford so anyone seeking a lift for their kayak and themselves needs to let me know which kayak to collect by 10am on Saturday and be at my home on Sunday at 0745, there is space to leave a car or two. I will only be collecting kayaks, their occupants will need to collect the rest of the kit they need themselves. I can take one or two additional kayaks.
See you Sunday,
Thanks Kwinten. See you at the club at 07:30.
There is some good rock hopping around there - I am putting a helmet in!
