Trip moved to Sunday to avoid the forecasted Thunderstorms. The swell is forecasted to drop to 0.4m on Sunday and so my plan is to head out to sea from Hope Cove (South Hams) and follow the coast. Back on the beach for circa 3.00pm
Meet Hope Cove carpark at 9.30 to beat the traffic. I have checked the tides and we are better going east then west for our return. Current turns in westerly direction at circa 11.00 am so will get some speed after lunch. Plan is to aim to paddle to Salcombe (South Sands) with possible earlier stop if current gets the better of us. With the current heading west all afternoon we can take a more leisurely trip back with possible rock hopping on the return journey. Bring helmets.
Plenty of experienced paddlers coming along and so any developing paddlers who have spent time on the sea and can manage 20km+ in a day are welcome.

Cant make it this weekend
I am sorry, but I am going to have to pull out
The weather forecast is still not looking great with thunderstorms forecast for Saturday however let me review tomorrow morning and I will post a suggested itinerary by noon Friday
Can everyone indicate whether they would still be wanting to paddle if we switched to Sunday due to the much kinder weather forecast?
I can join on sunday
Can’t do Sunday I’m afraid. Have a good one.
If it is Sunday, I am back in!
I'm up for Sunday.
Please note change of launch point due to tides. Now meeting Hope Cove and heading towards Salcombe.
OK clocked Hope Cove. I did wonder about the tides!
great trip, thank you. Large congregation of sea kayaks when three clubs met on the water.
