Leaving the club

edited February 2016 in General
Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know for the time being I am giving it a rest from kayayaking. The reason for the post is just to say that over the past few years, kayaking has been a major part of my life and I have gotten so much pleasure from it and all the people involved . I just wanted to take the opertunity to thank a few individuals for all the time they have given to me as they do with to so many other members and without their help and encouragement I would have given up kayaking long ago. So thanks to Mike, Jane, Colin, Dave Smith, sharply, Brian, Will, Bob, Alex and Neville.
Just a bit of advise for new members- the more you put in the more you get out, don't take the club for granted and do your bit.
Maybe down the line I'll take it back up but for the time being see you all around.

  • Its been great paddling with you as well, learnt stuff! You might be leaving but don't be a stranger!
  • Sad news but I wish you all the best. I have enjoyed paddling with you Nigel.
  • At least it will reduce the confusion as I have been called Nigel Hill more than once! Seriously, this is sad news. My first paddle with the Club was from Totnes down the Dart, and you were the first person I spoke to that day! If you realise the error of your ways and fancy a paddle from time to time, I and sure that I can find enough spare stuff to kit you out.
  • Sorry to read you are leaving us Nigel. I hope it's temporary and we will soon see you back with us? We have had some good trips and experiences together, thanks for that. All the best, Brian.
  • I'm sorry you're moving on; I'll miss you, not least for the no of times you've helped fish me out! Good luck with the cycling and hope to see you some time, Jacqui
  • Come back some time soon, Bob. We had a great time on the Yeo/Creedy.
