Easter 2026 sea kayak trips

I had plans to offer some sea kayaking trips over Easter, but the weather forecast is not friendly. If the forecast improves I'll post something. Dave has his trip on Sunday 5 April.

If anyone has a request for a trip please reply to this thread.

Sunday looks the best day, with light winds. It might be possible to find waves (from the day before ) without wind for people wanting to move towards the coastal award level.

Or for people closer to beginner level a morning pootle out of Teignmouth down to the cafe at Maidencombe and back could be a sheltered option (but waves pick up in afternoon). Might Dave relocate? It's still relatively local.
  • Not had time to look at forecasts or do any planning but I would be interested if there is a trip on Sunday or Monday
  • I can do Saturday/Sunday/Monday, happy to relocate Sundays trip if that's looking the best of the weather
  • I would like to go out Sunday or Monday

  • Not managed to get up to Braunton to collect my drysuit yet but will be ready to paddle in a couple weeks! Hopefully get one in before moving house chaos takes over
  • I'm almost certain I can paddle on Sunday. Definitely can't on Monday.

It looks like Sunday works for people. Dave, if you want to offer a trip on the sea we can provide qualified leader support, whilst you are the leader. The wind forecast is looking quite strong at present.

I can no longer do Monday, but others may be able to.
I can paddle on Saturday but the wind is very strong. I'll probably just paddle at the club for a fitness paddle.

  • Yes have updated the thread and will plan something for sunday
