Cancelled- Saturday 20th September Sea Kayak Paddle
If the weather allows I will plan a sea kayak trip this Sunday. Location to be decided later in the week.
Max 6 people. You will need to have achieved sea kayak award as a minimum. The forecast is currently for force 4 wind with gusts of force 5, so a willingness to paddle in windy conditions may be required!
UPDATE:
The wind forecast for Sunday has increased to F5 gusting 6+. This puts it outside the SK leader remit and what I would be comfortable leading in. The weather looks better on Saturday morning until around 14:00 with wind and swell gradually picking up throughout the day. So I will move the paddle to Saturday with the aim of being off the water by 14:00. Apologies of this means some of you can no longer make it, but it’s either that or cancel entirely.
As it will be a shorter paddle, I will keep it local and paddle from Exmouth, launching from the slipway at Shelly Road, near the sailing club. If conditions are ok we can get out on the sea and failing that we can stay in the estuary.
