I am planning to paddle on Plymouth Sound on Sunday 6 July from Mountbatton to Cawsand. The trip will include Plymouth Breakwater and Drakes Island. Depending upon winds, the trip will be ideal for people who haven't done much paddling on the sea although more experienced paddlers are welome. Max 6 people unless other leaders join.
The plan would be to meet at the slipway Mountbatton Watersports Centre at 10.30 wshere unloading is free (What3Words ///clots.dragon.voice ) to unload, and then park locally (there is free roadside parking or nearby carpark with a hight restriction about 2m - but check!). Alternatively, pay to stay in the centre car park (Noted Dave's comments that the Mountbatton Centre carpark is currently closed)..
I will probably travel directly there, so will leave transport for the Club to those travelling from there, but suggest that it will take an hour to get there from the Club plus time to load.

Note, the Mt batten centre car park is currently closed during the refurbishment but still plenty of space on the road, and in the other PCC car parks
Laura - it is first come first served, so you are in. The reference to those new to the sea was an indication of the experience level required.
The wind is currently forecast to be Force 4 from NW. Plymouth Sound is generally protected from large swells, but the water is likely to be choppy. Bring usual sea kayak kit including helmets. See you at Mountbatten in the morning.
Thanks all - a bit more challenging than I was hoping for, but well done!

That was fun! Thanks for leading this Nigel and for everyone's help and company.
Thanks to everyone.
