Weather is looking warmer ( note NOT warm).
For session 2 I am thinking we can look at efficient rotation to paddle, revisit paddling forward, backwards and stopping, turning and moving sideways. We can also try taking the kayaks off balance and righting them, at the risk of a swim.
If you want we can try a capsize towards the end of the session. No pressure, I love to be warm and dry. If you prefer, I can just demo.
Remember….cat attitude!

Hi, Tomorrow I thought we would refine skills of forwards, backwards, stopping, turns, moving sideways and low brace. Also laughing, sharing silly stories and gaining confidence in our paddling skills. All in preparation for a longer journey in the last 2 weeks.

I've had some email correspondence with Joe and added him to the current beginners course on Webcollect. He can only make 13th and 20th. Hopefully we can help him get started then.
A great night developing skills and a laid back attitude. Next week let’s try repeating the journey and some more challenge tasks. We will look at moving sideways and I need to do the promised capsize! It will be a good week to have a go at this if you have not already had the joy of a capsize so please dress accordingly. We will do this towards the end of the session so that people can get warm again more speedily. If you own a wetsuit it will keep you warmer. Have a great weekend and see you Tuesday.
