A beginners-friendly trip for those who've been on the various courses (this year or before), and would like a gentle introduction (or return) to the sea. Perfect for a first, second, .., fiftieth trip.
The itinerary will depend on who signs up, and what you'd like to get out of the day. It can be anything from an introduction to sea paddling, rock hopping, skills coaching, or a gentle journey. The purpose of the day is to extend your experience beyond the canal, and to give the basic skills and confidence to join other trips.
The forecast is for a calm day, so a perfect introduction to the sea.
Meet at the club at 8.00am or Kingswear slipway next to Royal Dartmouth Yacht Club at 9.15am.
Bring lunch and paddling gear, including a helmet. Kit information is available here:

Hi Martin. I would like to tag along. I can call into the Club on the way and can carry two extra kayaks and people
Hi Kathy - I would have room for Liz B and you with kayaks
Thanks for organising a fantastic trip Martin. Despite initial disappointment at lack of sun, the mist turned it into one of the most atmospheric, magical paddles I have been on! I have loaded a number of my photos on the Club Facebook page, and a little selection of those below...

Once I have had a chance to edit them so that it doesn't look like we were kayak uphill all day I will chuck the photos on here!
