Weekend 10 and 11 Aug Coastal SK award Dorset UPDATED * 3

You need to have achieved your SK award to come on this weekend.
Weekend probably in Dorset to try local tide race spots

Weekend starts with a Saturday paddle meeting 10.30am at somewhere like Kimmeridge Bay or Swanage with the aim of St Aldhelm's Head. Sunday morning will aim to go to Peverel Point from Swanage to play in the tide race. Another location might be Old Harry's Rocks. The week beforehand looks windy so a final decision will be made later in the week.

Thurs update: Wind forecast is looking strong again: Sat F4/6 from SW, and Sun better in the morning before F4/6 from 1pm, but wind is from the East which may be tricky. Swell forecast is quite small. Not decided yet on destinations.

Fri Update: For Sat meet 10.30am approx next to Swanage pier. Parking is at Broad Road car park, BH19 2AP. Aim to go to Old Harry's Rocks and back. This has the benefit of the tide, and hopefully we can shelter from the wind a bit. Idea for Sunday might be Keyhaven.

Christina, Martin and Jane have various accom in Dorset. Other paddlers, please can you find your own accom eg campsites. Couple of suggestions:
