Sea kayak trip dates Autumn 2025

This is a thread to see if we can fix dates for trips that suit the largest number of people.
I have identified various groups:
1. Paddlers who are new to the sea.
2. Paddlers working towards sea kayak award. This can be assessed internally within the club.
3. People who would like to work towards paddlesport leader (sheltered water) or paddlesport touring leader (moderate water). The sessions of leadership and skills will be combined, but when you decide to plan your assessment you choose which one to do. Only two people can be assessed per day, so there will be some flexibility. There will need to be an external assessor for these qualifications.
4. The coastal award group. To be in this group you need to have achieved your sea kayak award and a wish to paddle in dynamic water and stronger winds. The paddling will include rescue practice for rock hopping.
5. The leaders group. This is for people who have achieved at least coastal award, and are providing trips as a club leader. This group will be looking for moving water, and may have weekends away, and possibly a longer trip eg to Pembroke or Jersey.
I have weekend days available as below. If you want to come on some trips please reply with which groups interest you and what dates you can make. Other coaches can add dates to the list if they wish. We can then work out the best combination.

    I am interested in sheltered water leadership.Not free August dates or first September dates. Keen to try anything really to improve my skills but F5 would be pushing it a bit!

    Hi Jane - my preference would be 3 and or 4. Looking to gain further experience and also contribute to leadership. However I'm away for the first 3 weekends of September and unlikely to be able to paddle this weekend as I've been away most of the week with work (lots to do at home). I'll keep an eye on this thread!
