Sunday 29th December. Sea Kayak Explorers Trip Brixham

The weather looks good on Sunday. I am thinking of an explorers trip around Torbay or Berry head to explore the cliffs and sea caves. Meet in the big car park at 9.30 (Freshwater) On the water for 10.00 am. Just bring a hot drink and snack. It will be an out and back (circa 3 hr paddle with a short break for a hot drink but not a full picnic lunch) I aim to be off the water and packed up for 2.00pm. Fish and chip or pasty lunch or head home.

Ok. It looks like there are 6 paddlers tomorrow so let’s assume that we are now full. We can agree on the route tomorrow morning. We can either circumnavigate the bay or head round Berry Head. I wanted to avoid stopping for a beach picnic because it is now a bit cold for an extended stop. We will stop for a quick hot drink and snack. As per the initial notice my suggestion is lunch when we get back to Brixham. As such when loading boats and organising car shares tomorrow please double check with your travel buddies if you plan to stay for lunch or whether you want to head straight back to Exeter. I plan to have lunch in Brixham but will not be offended if others wanted to head straight home.
