Tryweryn Trip

COPIED FROM OLD FORUM

I know it early to be posting this but I will be happy to run a trip up the tryweryn again this summer. I know there is a trip heading out to Slovenia and I don't know if some people want to use this as a tune up. For people who don't know about the tryweryn this is a dam release river so we don't have to wait for any rain and this is north wales raft centre. There's a 2/3 section and a 3/4 section. All welcome we usually camp but we can find a bunk house. Camping is around £6 a night. It would be great to see some new faces

Right peeps I am sorry to tell you this but I am in Italy the week of this. So what im doing going to do is let people give me a date that's good for them and replan a date for this trip. I am willing to be up here most of the summer so if there multiple trips even better for me. I am very sorry to mess people around

I am keen. The Tryweryn is a superb river. I see that they are introducing charges, but well worth it. If water conditions are right, we could combine it with a River Dee trip on the way back from Chain Bridge to Llangollen Town Falls.

Nigel I was hoping for some rain there are a few more great rivers I could show you guys 20 mins away. The Tryweryn is soon to be £5 to bcu members and £15 to non members each day

As many people have already shown an interest in the trip, I cannot see any reason why we cannot go ahead with it. I am keen to go still and we should have a few more 4* leaders by then, and a number of people who have done the WWS&R course. Let's leave the dates in the calendar.

Definitely keen on this one, but depends first off if paddling yet, and then if not, will see if driving yet, then probably still come up for the social and camping with the boss and young'un. if driving, will be happy to play shuttle for the runs.

Probably won't be driving until end July at the earliest.
  • hmm, I know I definitely won't be driving or paddling, probably in all fairness not a great idea to consider camping either at this stage :((
Still there'll be another time I'm sure.
    Enjoy it boys and girls.
  • I am still keen.
  • I would still like to go.

  • I will travel independently as I do not know what time that I will get away from work on Friday. I expect that it will be late afternoon. I also need to be back on Sunday evening.
  • Hi Nigel,
would be great if I can come, but may need a lift up there, willing to pay for petrol etc
