Sunday 15 October sea kayak trip UPDATED *2

There will be a sea kayak trip on Sunday which will be a journey but with the aim of offering paddlers who are trying to achieve their sea kayak award suitable water to show their paddling skills. As the weather looks to be mild and light winds I'll look for somewhere with some tidal flow.

If the trip doesn't fill with prospective SK award paddlers then people who have recently achieved their SK award can come as well. Update: trip now opened to more paddlers, but you need to be close to SK award and upwards. Confirmed for Start Point.

Meet 8am at the club or 9.30am at the Torcross tank car park (825423) where there are loos. Then launch from North Hallsands car park. It is a long drive so we will not be back much before 6pm. Note that it will be cold overnight.

Please ensure you have the kit as described for club trips inc helmets, and towlines, plus paddling clothes suitable for getting wet as I am hoping that there will be some tidal flow.
