Sunday 2nd April Sea Kayaking trip. Details to be confirmed but planning a confidence building paddle on the sea if weather and conditions allow, otherwise an estuary or sheltered area, somewhere on the south coast. As we get closer details will be confirmed. It will suit anyone who completed the explore Sea Kayaking courses last summer upwards. I envisage a paddle of about 3-4hrs with lunch in the middle, so nice and easy with (hopefully) some good rock hopping and exploring opportunities. If you're looking to build confidence, just fancy a paddle or get your season off to a good start then be sure to let me know. 6 spaces available.

Hi Steve, this looks great, yes please I'm in if weather continues to look good. Trying to persuade Rob to join!
yes please
Hi Steve, I would be keen to join you, but I wouldn't want to take the space for those who want to build confidence.
I am interested but would need space on a roof rack for a boat. I only did the course on the canal though, not at sea. Not sure if that is what you mean.
Hi Steve, I’d like to come along if there is still space?
I can see the 6 spaces are full. Can I be reserve? Can you call me if late notice as I don't check this forum every day 07841688824
As said, I don't want to take a place from somebody who is improving, so I am happy to drop out so Shelley can come.
The weather and conditions look like we are on for a very nice sea paddle on Sunday.
Currently thinking of heading out from Meadfoot Beach, Torquay. This is an excellent spot for rock hopping, beach landings and building confidence generally.
Does not need to be a stupidly early start as Tides and a reducing wind throughout the day (currently) will make for a very nice paddle just before and after lunch. So probably meet at the club for 9:30am to pick up boats, unless already picked up, Meadfoot for 10:30 and on the water at 11. Paddle for an hour or two and stop for lunch and paddle back. Emphasis on building confidence and skills by exploring and enjoying the coastline.
Jane is running another session with an eye on the Sea Kayak Award. If you want to jump ship(kayak) and get on that trip then that's absolutely fine. However, I can feedback to Jane (if you wish) where you are at generally and there will be plenty of opportunities to demonstrate the skills needed to Jane in the coming months.
If you can text me your numbers please to 07595 370096 - that way we can be in touch should things change last minute.
One extra, very important consideration is transport. I can take two additional boats and I have Laura penned in for one of those spots. I know Rob and Anna can transport 2, (possibly 3?). Lucy, Rich and Shelley, do you have means of transport with/without kayak?
Sorry I forgot to say.I have no way of transporting a kayak... but I can drive or hop into anyones car at the quay haha...:)
No worries Lucy, I think we have a plan. Just waiting to hear from Rich. Shelley potentially can carry a couple of kayaks but will need a navigator. So I think we're sorted one way or other
ok great see you there
