Saturday 19 November touring trip from club to Topsham and back
Weather looks good for Saturday, so there will be a touring trip in sea kayaks.
Meet 1pm at the club, to leave at 1.30pm, down the canal, cross to the bottom of the flood defence channel, down the river to Topsham and back up the canal.
Pace will be relaxed. The trip will be suitable as a first touring trip for people who joined the club as a beginner during 2022, and for more experienced paddlers. The distance will be around 8 miles. We will be back at the club c5-6pm.
Suitable kit:
buoyancy aid
touring paddle: these are longer than white water paddles
spraydeck
cagoule: wind and waterproof but not necessarily specific to kayaking
spare clothing
warm hat
food and drink

Yes please, ideally an MV Scorpio. I'd bring lights if you have them for visibility but it's not an issue if a few people don't have them.
